If
you have been visiting this website you know that I
have been given creative license to create an artistic activist
atmosphere at The Yippie Museum Café. I
have been working at it since September of 2007, and the results so far have
been encouraging. I want to thank the artists who have participated thus far.
Our nights at the YIP are more than about music. It is about nurturing a
safe and fun place for artists and activists to meet, perform and
synergize. The calendar found here indicates music, and I love the music, but
the larger picture is music and conversation and energy and progressive
thinking. And action! That is the work we are doing.
You can look to this space for artists and events appearing at
the YIP. In the meantime, check this website and come on down during the
performance season (October through June) and join
your voice and energy. If you are a performing artist with something
political to say be sure to introduce yourself. You can also
contact me via email at
joellandy@yahoo.com.
