TOTALLY AWESOME . . .

was the International Show at New Utrecht High School on Friday night, April 8.
The theme was "PEACE", the performances were brilliant, and I had the honor of opening the show with students and Bob Dylan's "Blowing in the Wind."

Slipknot/Hangknot     Ode to the Old NRA

Last year in the middle of January, talented artists and activists got together to celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King at
The Yippie Museum Cafe in Greenwich Village, NYC.
This year we did it again.

It was a warm and wonderful afternoon sharing
the message of peace and music,
and the life and work of MLK.

A sincere thank you to The Yippie Museum and to the many artists who gave of their time and spirit, including Steve Suffet, Anne Price,
Sharon Benson, James Cannings, The NYC Street Singers,
Jenny Hurwitz, John Todras and Elizabeth Ahne.

And thanks to the event's sponsors:

Songs of Freedom Television,

Water Not Weapons,  and

World Water Rescue Foundation

. . . Highlights from 2010 . . .

It was a great show.
Thank you Peoples' Voice Cafe,
its volunteers, and of course, you - the audience!

Video: Joel Landy Live at The Peoples' Voice Cafe

The gig was one I will remember for a long time.
It was fun sharing the stage with Tom Neilson and having a gig in Manhattan the night before Halloween and the week of Election Day.
Thank you all for coming!

The show was professionally recorded by my good friend
Ray Korona. Tracks from the show are available here:

What Do You Do with a Politician?  (Joel Landy)

The War at Home    (by Toby Fagenson)

My Oklahoma Home  (by Sis Cunningham)
