The Annual
Woody Guthrie Birthday Bash
in New York City

The 8th annual Woody Guthrie Birthday Bash was an overwhelming success.
The audience was energetic, the performances were inspired and a fine time was had by all.

Thanks to The Bowery Poetry Club for hosting the event.
The booking is already made for the 9th annual Woody Bash, set for Sunday, July 12, 2009.

Thanks also to the performers: Steve Suffet, Anne Price, Gina Tlamsa, Jessica Feinbloom, Emma Graves, Hillel Arnold, Sandy Pliskin and Carlos Vasquez. Special thanks to Steve for organizing the event and making its success a priority. Thanks to Mike Ricca for the taking the ensemble photo above. Special thanks also go out to Norman and Joan Levine for attending. Their son Eric participated in the first seven Woody Guthrie Birthday Bashes and passed away in May of this year. The show was dedicated to his memory and life as an activist and a humanitarian. Eric remains an inspiration to us all.
